Off off Broadway is what this is classified as. It's a hit or miss with some shows but 95% good value for the money. Saw William Electric Black's 5 plays on gun violence. Amazing. Crystal Fields is the reason you support this place. Great artistic director.

Saw One With The Current, written and performed by Daniel Damiano. Beautifully done on both scores. Only three more performances. Go see it.

This place is horrible it is terribly hot and if you are a performer it's even worse. If you are a performer with a disability who request that the air conditioner will be turned on because you can't regulate your body temperature you are singled out as a problem and embarrassed in front of all of the other performers by the staff coming to the back and saying I'm not going to be held hostage by a performer you can leave the show Will go on without you. That is not a way to treat a performer with a disability especially since you are receiving grant funding from The Dana and Christopher Reeves foundation. Let's see what they feel about how you treat disabled performance.

This theater space is a rugged, raw gem. The building has multiple small to mid-sized theater halls. I've seen 2 shows here, the first one being very disappointing, the 2nd one being excellent, so it appears that the quality of the plays varies widely.

The main Johnson theater has a default setup for 90 seats, for bigger shows, they can add extra seats along the side so there are up to 110. Fire zoning allows up to 240 people, but thats not going to happen. The Cino theater seats about 60. The Community theater seats 95, and the Cabaret theater seats ~65. The number of seats also depend on production, and number of cast, crew, and props in the space. Hadn't actually thought about that but all I can say is that I dont ever recall being hot or uncomfortable in the theaters
