We went for breakfast 5 or 6 times here since it was next to our hotel. Generally expensive compared to similar shops. But everything was delicious. It has very good coffee and know that you can also get Fredo here (the shop is owned by a Greek and he knows what Fredo espresso is 🤪)

Perhaps that is an issue you need to discuss with the clerks. I have not expirence this issue when using my card. I know some places charge fees when using debit or credit. You should look into it.
