Awesome camp! Great for a weekend troop campout. By some phonemena, though, it always rains for us! We had a great pavilion though, so the troop stayed dry! Highly recommend for an outing or for leader training!

What a gorgeous, peaceful place. I love visiting Camp Westmoreland. Many improvements have been made over the years including a new bath/shower house, renovations to the kitchen and a new rifle range. They have put water to the campsites making this a "must visit" camp, along Shoals Creek, for scouts.

We have had girl scout camp here 2 years in a row and we love it!

Great BSA camp. Smaller than some of the other regional camps but provides some great resources for the Shoals region. Both of my sons participated in the annual twilight camps for the cub scouts and had wonderful experiences.

Its open to scout troops for events..there are fees if you have scouts within your troop.
Just contact the Greater Alabama Council and they can give you details on camping at Westmoreland. There are many sites, some with canvas tents and some with wooden shelters. It is a beautiful camp that also has a small dining hall and several pavilions with electricity.
