This place is amazing and not because my son works there. The library is clean, well organized and has nice events for the community. The staff is genuinely friendly and warm, real peoples people. All you need to do is check it out for yourself. One of the best things that they do is the Christmas displays in their magnificent garden.

There aren't enough good things I could say about this library. My family and I love it so much. Such great programs for children, my savior since I was not able to get my daughter into a summer camp program this year. The facility itself its so amazing, we spend hours on end at this library. Their outdoor space provides so much entertainment. My daughter just completed their summer reading program and she was so excited about reading and getting a little prize for reading.

It's at 6:00pm, and the awards are supposed to pay tribute to individuals for their dedication to their communities. “I wanted to honor a diverse group of individuals, who never seek recognition, but give so selflessly to others in our communities. The accomplishments, hard work and dedication from these ‘Everyday Heroes’ should inspire us all to give back and help others because that’s what brings us together as neighbors and a community,” said Senator Croci.
For Sachem Public Library cardholders, the first 10 pages of a fax are free of charge. After the first 10 pages, it costs 10 cents a page. For patrons outside of the Sachem district, it is 10 cents a page to send a fax.

Some of our classes are open to the general public, such as our concerts and movies, and some are limited to Sachem cardholders, such as our cooking classes. Our computer classes are open to Sachem cardholders first, then open up to the general public a few days before the class. It really depends on the program you are interested in. Please call the library for information about specific classes. Thank you!

Unfortunately, we have very little information on what occurred. We do know it was a health issue, and he was taken out of the library by ambulance. We are hoping to get some updated information when it is available. Please check with our Welcome Desk staff in another few days to see if we have been given any updates that we can share. I wish we had more information for you. :(

We do accept donations of gently used books, with a few exceptions. We don't take encyclopedia sets or Reader's Digest Condensed Books. But we gladly accept all other gently used books. If you are donating a single box/bag, you can bring it right to our Circulation Desk. If you have more than one box/bag to donate, we ask that you drop them off outside our deliveries door. This set of doors is directly to your right when you pull in the Library driveway, next to the dumpsters. It has a small driveway of it's own in front of the dumpsters for unloading. And thank you so much for thinking of us! :)

You can try some of the online real estate sites like Zillow.com - if the house was up for sale at some point in the last 10 years, the year it was built may be included in the details about the property.
