I was trying to follow all the rules as far as applying for housing with the town of Islip but with Pandemic I found myself lost ...as I read the other reviews everyone gave it five stars and said the staff was helpful and friendly I never experienced that......

Try HUD it's for you to talk to and they will help , they hold landlords accountable and also the Islip housing authority .
I am the landlord of a section 8 rental. Tenant is now 3 weeks late with rent, and has not answered my calls or texts. I think she may be moving, or, she spent the rent money on Xmas gifts. What should I do?

They can give you places that have rentals but you have to call to see what's available at each place.
