Unfortunately, the food is not what it use to be. The carne asada dish was $14.99, the steak was overcooked and very fatty (low-grade meat) without any flavor. The plantains were way overcooked to the point the waitress agreed to exchange them for beans which were "ok" but nothing special. The chicharron appetizer $3.50 was also overcooked and very salty. My friend's seafood appetizer was pretty good but very small portion for $7.99.

Honestly, I m not sure what to write. Finally went here today. Walked in. Sat down for 5 minutes. Then walked out. I 've been eying this place for years. The second time I walked out of a restaurant before. Felt like I was getting stares as if I didn't pass the brown paper bag test. Waitress was...I don't know. Hard to put my finger on it. Slightly sarcastic. Told me they only serve wants on the menu. Was she trying to be slick in the mouth? I don't know...Insult on someone's intelligence to me. But I support small businesses so I m giving them a 4-star in good faith that it was perhaps a cultural difference. My review is confusing to you. Its meant to be. My people will understand.

Easy place to stop to have a bite. Enjoyed a steak with salad. The crew also enjoyed their Latin flavors. Good empanadas. Great flan and tres leches. Give it a try. It is worth it and waitress was very kind.
