Pretty solid train station. Easy parking. Trains usually timely.

Downtown Suffern has a lovely charm to it. There are several restaurants, old buildings and a historic one screen theater with a wurlitzer that's played on weekends.

Metro North and New Jersey Transit stations in the heart of Suffern. From Hoboken, NJ to Suffern, there are two NJ Transit diesel cars running. It functions as a suburban train, taking the train from Suffern to Manhattan and it takes about 1 hour per transfer. Transfer at Secaucus Junction or Hoboken. Metro North runs from Suffern to the north and runs directly. The end point is Port Jarvis. From the station, Red and Tan runs through New Jersey to the Manhattan 40st bus terminal, New Jersey Transit runs in New Jersey, and TOR runs east to west in Rockland.

It'll depend on the train you take but it could as long as 1.5 hours with a transfer at Secacaus.
