Blue sky is one of the worst companies I have ever used. When I first started with them my 10x20 was 85 dollars a month. Now it's 210 a month. Customer service is non existent. Please use any company other than Blue Sky self storage!

(I believe this is my first review that is not a 5 star review. I prefer acknowledging good service; however, this needed to be shared. I wish I would have looked at the reviews before calling the office this morning. Maybe I would have been more prepared for the service I received?) My family initially had two large units with I20 self storage after the quick sale of our home. At that time, everything was clean and everyone we dealt with was polite and professional. Since the new ownership (which I was not notified of because they continued to use the previous address- the address we sold which created the need for the units- even after I went IN person to update after we finally realized they were under new ownership) we have had not had a good experience. The prices have had multiple increases and the lady I spoke with in the office today was very rude. I called to make my payment because I intentionally didn't over the weekend because I was confident that the text statement I received was incorrect. I’ve been paying $156 a month for one unit for several months, and this months statement was $221; therefore, I didn’t pay the statement because I thought there was a mistake. I never dreamed they would have an increase of $85 in one month. This weekend was July 4th weekend, so I waited until this morning when they opened to call and speak to someone. SO, I called this morning, and man was that fun! I was told that I was wrong about everything, that I WAS made aware of these frequent increases (they STILL are using our address from 3 years ago), that I could pay or get my stuff out. Today. I agreed to pay the $156, but told her I did not agree to the constant increases. This one, in particular. She told me that the state law in Georgia was different from the actual law, by the way. She also stated that I was already late with my payment because I waited to speak to someone this morning-and didn’t pay over the weekend. I find it very ironic that they have no difficulty texting me monthly statements; however, they do not communicate any ownership changes or rate increases in the same manner. What good is the contract that I signed with I20 if the prices do not apply under new ownership? I feel they have rights at this time, but I do not. I did pay this ridiculous statement via text statement after the unprofessional call, but this is the last time my family will do business here. I understand that companies often increase prices and that everything seems to be increasing lately, but this is a bit extreme. We will have our belongings out before they can be rude or go up on prices. Again. I wish I would have done this much sooner.

I rented from I20 storage for about 4 years before it was sold to Blue Sky storage. I NEVER had an issue with I20 storage...Never! I paid my rent-on time and the ladies were always so nice. Since Blue Sky storage has taken over the place it’s been one thing after another with the increase in rent being the WORST! Since Blue Sky has had the place, and it hasn't even been a year yet, they have raised the rent 3 TIMES!!!! I have gone from paying $65 to now a whopping $112 in the matter of months!!! I literally don't know what the rent will be from month to month at rate they keep raising rent. The gate was broken for several months which really annoyed me and the ditches (larger than holes) when entering the gate are just ridiculous!!! I Never had these issues with I20 Storage!!! I must say the ladies in the office are So Nice. They are always Kind, Polite and just down right Sweet. Thanks Ms. Karen and Ms. Latia for always listening. SO if you don't mind your rent getting raised every 2 months or the ditches in the drive way across the street where my unit was located then go for it!!!

Questions & Answers

Do they ever answer their phone? Voicemail is full and no one answers. Never knew they switched ownership until or changed name until I recieved a letter stating they were upping the charge monthly to over a hundred dollars.

Sorry I did not know if anyone is in the office. I have my payments automatically withdrawn. I didn't know they changed ownership until they called me to update my payment stuff.
