If we can catch the shrine when the doors are open we would enjoy it alot better. We have just been able to walk around it and look into the windows so far this year. We have been going for two years so far just to walk around the grounds and sit on the bench overlooking the thruway and the river and mountains.. otherwise great place to visit..

Beautiful, peaceful location. The Cathedral is rustic & impressive; attending Mass here is always a restorative experience.

See our full schedule at www.ourladyofmartyrsshrine.org Call us at 518-853-3939 and we can usually arrange for a blessing with the relic on the weekends following Mass. A relic of St. Kateri is also out for veneration. God bless!

Yes there are! All around the circular altar area in the Coliseum are relics from many saints who were martyred on this sacred site. You can feel thier presence. We are blessed to live close by. We are there very often.

Yes, the Chapel is still open and the grounds are so beautiful in the fall. I go all year round and trudge through the snow to pray in the Chapel and light my candle.

Yes the original chapel on this site. It's a white building with a red roof and Bell tower. When you enter the ground you'll see the large coliseum but to your left is the building you're talking about.
