Thank you for your interest! Yes, clothes in clean and usable condition (no rips, stains, etc.) may be dropped off at the Essex Compassion Center Tuesday thru Saturday between 10 AM and 3 PM. On rare occasions, the center sorting room may become so full that donations have to be temporarily turned away. If you can, call the center at 410-391-6877 first. In addition to clothes, donations of housewares, small appliances, electronics (no tube TVs), jewelry, antiques and collectibles, furniture, books and toys are accepted in good and working condition. We are a 502(C)(3) charitable organization, and tax receipts will be provided on request. Thank you again for your support!
Food (and clothing) for folks in need are provided free-of-charge on Wednesday mornings at 8:30 AM. Interviews begin promptly -- first-come/first served. Quantities are limited, as are the number of clients who can be served on any given Wednesday, so please be prompt. For more information, call 410-391-6877.
