So, my fiancé had gotten a ticket and entered into a payment plan to pay the total amount of the ticket over a period of however many months. He had forgot to mention to me that we had to send a money order to the court, all the way up until about three days before it was due. We don’t live in Maryland so we would need to send it over night, so it would arrive on time because the court won’t accept payments over the phone. So we ended up sending the money order and paying to have it delivered next day. Prior to deciding to just send a money order we had spoke to a fantastic county clerk, her name is Melissa. She handles all the traffic issues and payment plans. She kept a look out for our payment that was mailed, and as fate would have it, the next day we paid for ended up taking days longer. This made us stress that it was lost or it was not going to arrive before the due date. So every day we would call the court to see if it had arrived and everyday was the same thing, it wasn’t there yet. Tuesday the following week it had finally arrived but it was three days past the due date. Even with it being late due to the mail issues, Melissa was able to get us taken care of and the payment applied at the actual due date and not put my fiancé into default which would have made his license be suspended. Melissa went above and beyond for us and treated us like real people with real life happenings like the mail being late. She deserves the biggest raise and if all the court clerks treated people the way Melissa treated us, more people would have a better opinion about handling anything within the judicial system. This senior housing used to be great under previous management's. And now that management has changed so did the quality that went down all together. I don't even know where to begin. The lobby is NOT as glamorous as it used to be. The carpets and wooden floors arenNOT as clean. The elevators and inside carpets are always dirty, the lobby seating area are allways clouderd with vaccume , mops and buckets. The Windows are not as shinny as they used to be. The seniors activities are no longer there. The hallway's carpet are and apartments carpets and windows DON'T get cleaned annually the way they used to under the previous management's. Most importantly, they always have shortage of staff which much takes longer to repair anything's in apartments. All in all its so very disappointing the way it's managed under the new manager.. We don't even see the manager to begin with.
