It was pretty amazing to be here in Washington DC and was able to see the Capitol building and it was OK. The building was pretty but it was fenced off and closed which was pretty annoying.
Overall i will give it a 3 stars since i could not get inside. Pretty sad, someone might start Riot because of this.

Do not miss visiting the US capitol. The building is amazing and the history it tells is a must do when visiting Washington DC. You can do a free tour where a guide is telling you a lot of facts about the building, the people who worked here and the ones who still work here. You can experience the history of the government of the United States here better then any where else.
Secret tip: visit the capitol when the sun is down for a walk around the capitol garden.

Hello, good morning, can someone tell me if parking is free on weekends in the white house?

Hi there, there is no parking by the White House. Personally, I used Uber and went on a group tour. If you want to tour the inside of the White House, you need permission from the government. Use the internet for more information on how to gain access.

Hello, they don't have parking spaces around The White House. Personally, I used Uber and went on a tour with a group. If you want to go to the White House, you need permission from the government. Use the network for more information.
The dome of the Capitol presents in its hidden part an incredibly significant painting that reveals the philosophical, spiritual and political objectives of the Founding Fathers. Rare are the writers have discussed the gnostic, alchemical and esoteric meaning of this work
The Capitol Building and the White House are two completely separate locations. For the Capitol Building, tours are open to the public through the Capitol Visitor Center. You must contact your local congressperson in order to secure tickets to tour the White House, however. There is a White House Visitor Center that is open to the public, which is essentially a museum.

If you have a passport, you certainly can visit the United States. We'd love to have you! As for your first question, that requires a very deep discussion that can have a variety of answers. Personally for me, I appreciate our emphasis upon personal freedom. Our Bill of Rights in the Constitution places limits upon the government, not the people, in order to prevent tyranny and protect individualism as much as possible.
BILL GATES HAS BROKE THE LAW IN THE FIRST OF ALL MAKEING MINDE CONTROL MEDS TO CONTROL THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AN TO FORCE IT ON EVERY ONE MAIL PRACTICE AN TO INPIRE ANARCHY AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT
No, these are 2 different buildings with a different function in US politics. In a way, these are almost opposites, representing different powers of the US constitution. They are both located in Washington DC, along the mall, but the Capitol is dominating it, as well as the Floorplan of the city, whereas the white house is at the side and not so visible in the city.

If you only look at the Capitol, you will be guided by a tour guide within three hours. If you want to see the museums on both sides of the park and other exhibition halls, it will take you two or three days.
"Yes, cameras are allowed in the Visitor Center. However, photography in the Exhibition Hall is strictly prohibited to protect the original documents that are on display."

Some restrictions are aplied only when visiting House and Senate Galleries.
After a design competition, the winner was an amateur architect named William Thornton. The original design by Thornton was later modified by Benjamin Henry Latrobe and Charles Bulfinch.
Since 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended and restored.
The Capitol was built and later expanded in the 1850s, using the slave labor "who cut the logs, laid the stones and baked the bricks". The original plan was to use workers brought in from Europe; however, there was a poor response to recruitment efforts, and African Americans, some free and some enslaved, composed the majority of the work force.
It is not necessary, but it's better to book in advance, though. I didn't, and all the tours were full when I arrived there, so I had to wait for like half an hour in line. I'm not certain about this, but I think the only tour you pay for is the one where they take you to see the congress in session. The free tour is interesting enough, in my opinion, if you've never been there.
Today, the U.S. Capitol Building covers a ground area of 175,170 square feet, or about 4 acres, and has a floor area of approximately 16-1/2 acres. Its length, from north to south, is 751 feet 4 inches; its greatest width, including approaches, is 350 feet.
The White House is a separate government building that serves as the residence and office for the president of the USA. It can be found in DC. This location, the US Capitol, is the location where the US Congress come together (Senate and House of Representatives).
The true Statue of Freedom is on top of the Capitol's dome, however it's plaster cast mold is located in the visitor center (where tours go from, gift shop is, cafeteria, etc.). It is therefore the same scale and you can walk up to it and read more about it there
Well, it really depends on what position of work you're doing at the Capital. If you're a lawmaker, then yes. Everybody is watching you from a news stand point of what goes into that law. If you're a janitor or someone of custodial work, your job isn't as stressful and not as hard to do as a lawmaker. But, this is just my opinion and I could be wrong, it's best to actually talk to the people working at the Capital from different working occupations and see how hard they view their own job(s).
But. I've been wanting to ask you for a long time.

Yes...it is very interedting. My husband and 3 kids of 7-11 enjoyed it too. We came through to see the monuments and did this as part of the tour. Not knowing what it was or how it would be or if our kids would enjoy it. This tour full of insightful information and didnt take long to go through. At least it didnt seem like it. I would definitely recommend.
It costs nothing. But only admission is by pre booked ticket. The tours can be booked nine weeks in advance. So as we have a five hour start we get choice of times.
The inside and outside of the Capitol is historically and architecturally impressive. It has housed the meeting chambers of the House of Representatives and the Senate since 1793.
It is 751 feet 4 inches long; its greatest width is 350 feet. Its height above the base line on the east front to the top of the Statue of Freedom is 288 feet.

It does not cost anything to visit the capitol, but to have a tour of the building you will need a reservation. You can typically make a reservation through your congressman if you are American. There are other ways too, check the website for the capitol visitor's center.

No cost, but you have to get a pass inside & an airport style security screening.
I didn't go inside but the building is very beautiful, architecturally. The dome is shiny and almost pearlescent. I wonder how they clean those teeny, tiny windows near the top?
