Don’t let the bad reviews scare you away! The staff are doing the best they can and are very friendly and helpful! My first visit, I had to wait a few hours before I could meet with someone - but that was because I just walked in. If you plan on doing that, I suggest that you bring something to occupy yourself. After meeting with a therapist, I was able to get an appt with Dr. K a week or so later. Now I’ve been on meds for almost 2 months. Have patience and be kind, because those workers are trying their best with the little resources they have.

If I can give 0 stars I would. Staff here is very rude, they are not empathetic, their only answer is "find a therapist". If I am in my worst moment, I just need to talk to someone that is it. Instead of helping you, they make you feel judged.

Not Good. They bring the Police as “protection” for themselves which causes patients to instantly distrust the counselors intentions. It is perceived by the patient as a punitive threat meant to punish rather than help. If one is afraid of the population one serves, then one should find another profession. Add to that, there is no funding if they find the person in crisis needs hospitalization. You are looking at a potential $30K hospital bill if they take the person to an Emergency Psychiatric Unit. It is an untenable situation for families with mentally ill members. There is no community support other than punitive both personally for the patient and financially for the family. But the Crisis Team was just awarded millions of dollars to get more mobile units across the state. Too bad there is no genuine care at the end, as if they do go to the hospital it’s only short-term and there are no resources for follow up care or housing. Pay close attention to the patient reviews here. They are accurate. Posits by other family members seem to be about patients who are not severely mentally ill. There are no funded services for the severely mentally ill in MOCO. Get out of MOCO as soon as you can. The taxes we pay here are not worth the poor services families are subjected to.
