Not sure that dumping all recyclables in the same crusher is the way to go. Still can't figure out why commercial enterprises dump in residents roll offs.

Beaky,
Yes, you can bring recycling to the Landfill. They have a designated area for recycling all types of recyclables, including e-waste and bulk items.
If you mean recycling then it's free for residents as long as it is clear to be from a home vs a business. And like others mentioned 3 is normally the limit, and only Wednesday and Saturday.
If you don't care about recycling (we all should care) you can drop them off at the trash area any day of the week.

They accept consumer electronic waste, check the website for details or contact the front check-in booth who will direct you to the drop-off point.
Stef,
There is nothing listed on the website about clean fill dumping, however they do discuss construction and demolition debris as length.

Hello, I am confused about the cost of dumping at this facility. I have dropped off household garbage there for free in the past, but now I was told last week that there is a $5 fee for Manassas and Manassas Park residents. Can anyone advise?

The landfill is for Prince William County. Manassas and Manassas Park are not part of the county and are independent cities.

Since there won't be a Prince William County landfill sticker you need to show your driver's license with a Prince William County address.

Connie,
Shredding as in for personal documents and such?
Short answer: they do document shred events, but not as an everyday service.
Their are Community Shred Events from time to time; the next Community Shred Event is Saturday, May 4th at the landfill as well as Curtis Young Elementary. To get details, just Google "Prince William Landfill Shred Event", the flyer is under the Trash & Recycling Page, in News & Events.
Hope this helps.
James,
They accept almost every type of household waste. There are designed areas for anything other than regular trash and recycling bin stuff. Inquire at the front gate or explore the website.
If I do not have a truck and my neighbor does but he's got North Carolina tags can he still take my trash if I show my ID
Carrie Coleman | Oct 2, 2019
Jonathan Greenstein | Oct 2, 2019
Carrie,
Perhaps. We have used a Uhaul pickup with our of state tags and had no issue, but I would still call the Landfill and ensure they will accept your ID as proof while using an out of state vehicle.
As already mentioned, county residents (ID/proof of residence required) don't pay a fee for household disposal; the website explains how the landfill operates and how to use it.
The landfill itself does not shred paperwork, but they will recycle it. If you're looking to shred a large amount of paper, you'll need to contact a disposal company, or buy a quality shreder and get at it.
Yes. As mentioned by others, if the furniture is in usable condition, you can drop it off at the donation area of the landfill. The mattress will need to be disposed in the household waste section. Just check with the attendant when you drive up and they will provide you with exact disposal directions.
