Lou was the perfect DJ for our wedding! He listened to what we wanted and delivered exactly what we were looking for. It was obvious that his goal was to make sure that we and our guests had a great day, and he did everything he could to make that happen. The schedule ran smoothly and the music selection was perfect. I would highly recommend Lou to anyone looking for a low-key, fun, and highly professional DJ.

Lou was our DJ for our wedding this past May, and was beyond wonderful! He was fun to work with, easy to communicate with, and really cared about us as a couple and our wedding vision. He was also super accommodating when we had to postpone our wedding. Our guests are still telling us how much fun they had on the dance floor, now almost 3 months later! He also went above and beyond to help coordinate day-of, making our lives so much easier and allowing us to just focus on having a great time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

DJ Lou was one of the best vendor decisions we made throughout our wedding process. When we had our first phone call with him before booking - he immediately made us feel comfortable. Little did we know at that point, we would have to move our wedding 2 times do to the pandemic! DJ Lou was with us every step of the way and never made us feel an additional layer of stress during the re-plans. Fast forward to our actual wedding day this past September at the Senate Garage - DJ Lou handled everything from the music to all the technical set-up needed for the ceremony and speeches. He partnered seamlessly with the videographers and even was able to help us with some last minute mood lighting. The combination of professionalism & authenticity set DJ Lou apart from other vendors.

Hiring Lou was one of the best choices we made for our wedding this January. After an unfortunate experience with our first DJ, our venue manager suggested Lou. We met over zoom less than a month before our wedding and he took all the stress away. We decided a week before our wedding that we wanted to zoom the ceremony for guests who couldn't attend and Lou set it all up. All we had to do was share the zoom link with our friends and family and they were able to watch with great sound and video quality. The music for our reception was just what we wanted and he emcee'd the evening with ease, not one of those cheesy emcee's who thinks it's their time to show off their sand-up skills. Do yourselves a favor and hire DJ Lou for your wedding.

Questions & Answers

Do you do DJ service for a quinceanera party?

While my focus is on weddings, I most definitely do quinceaneras, sweet 16s, mitzvahs, and other events.

Since you do DJ music service for weddings do you recommend an amount of time to play music? 4 hours, 6 hours? I want my wedding guests to be entertained but not be overwhelmed by too much music.

Sometimes the timing is dictated on regionality. Here in the North East most receptions run 5 hours, ceremonies and receptions 6 hours. I have had weddings as short as 4 hours for ceremony and reception (that seemed way too short) in Georgia, and one couple had me for 13 hours last year. In a typical 6 hour ceremony and reception you generally have a pre-ceremony time (15-30 minutes) where music starts to entertain guests as they are sitting and waiting. Then the ceremony itself (20 - 40 minutes), cocktail (60 - 90), dinner (30 - 90), and dancing can sometimes be just a large segment at the end to having it split up between parts of the night. These timelines can always shift around, sometimes have no formalities or the entire run-down of things including other entertainment like "the shoe game". I hope that helped to answer your question. :)
