I felt the store feeling very sad. As I was shopping for a water bottle for my pet rats I noticed the same 3 rats that have been at the store for weeks now. These rats are full grown males and are housed in a very small glass enclosure with bright lights on them and no dark place to hide. All 3 rats now appear to be sick as their breathing looks labored and they seemed very lethargic. Anyone who knows anything about rats knows that these are intelligent, active animals that need plenty of room to run around. They are primarily nocturnal and their eyes are sensitive to bright lights. They need dark places to hide. They are also prone to respiratory infections which these rats appeared to have. I wonder if they have ever been seen by a vet. The treatment I observed of these animals is neglectful and cruel. I’m very disappointed in Petco.

The personnel are friendly and knowledgeable. I have always been satisfied with my purchases and the one instance when my cats would not eat a new treat I was trying my money was refunded.

Worst place to take your dog for grooming! I have give a start because it wouldn’t let me posted if not I would of never did it!! However the groomer Gary sprayed my dog with something harsh causing me to take my dog to the emergency vet as soon as I saw my dog when I got home! My dogs eyes were swollen and she couldn’t open them! After 300 hundred dollars vet bill my poor dog can’t still see! Hopefully she’ll get better after the 7th day!! Please don’t take your dogs to the Wallingford Petco to get groom!
