I am the Caregiver of both my parents 90 and 93 years of age. My father is a patient of Dr. Cook. Recently he waited over an hour in a half to see the doctor. He is disabled as well as my mother who waited patently in the waiting room to see the doctor. Two times they approached the front desk asking how much longer would it be before they could see the doctor. The reply was should not be long. Finally my father called me to say he could not physically with any longer and had to leave. I told him to leave. He told the front desk he could NO long do to health wait any longer. They simply said "OK". Two weeks later he received a bill for $50 for leaving the appointment. This cause him great emotional distress. As his caregiver when Called regarding the matter I was addressed by the front desk in a "CARELESS" and "ARGUMENTATIVE" manner. The office refused to correct the bill and in fact said if he did not pay his bill HE WAS NO LONGER a patient and could NOT see the doctor until the $50 was payed. He was denied medical assess over $50. The bill was not even late yet! This caused further drama as Any senior citizen would understand. For $50 my father was denied medical access. Advanced Orthopedics Instate PA clear puts policy over people. Within the hour of being denied medical access my father secure another Orthopedic Dr. Keep this in mind when using Advanced Orthopedic Institute PA and Dr., Alfred J. Cook Jr. Keep this in mind when communicated with his front desk staff. Policy over people and principles. For the RECORD my father will NOT being paying the $50.

June 2021, m.r.i. showed torn meniscus in right knee. a routine procedure and it could be fixed. Dr. Cook was never at any pre op meetings, nor was he the one who informed me of my condition even though I asked to meet him or see him. After physical therapy my knee was more painful than before the surgery. I've had p.t. twice and still can't hardly walk without pain and loose knee joint. I
