MedStar Health: Primary Care at Bel Air

I went to this office with a scheduled appointment and they tried to tell me I canceled it through my text messages when I had been waiting for this appointment for weeks and was happy to finally get my medical stuff taken care of. They said it had to have been my fault and they left me standing there even after they gave me an appointment card and said I would have have stand there and wait. They didn't even have anything else to do. They already handed me back my paperwork and my ID card. I proceeded to tell my husband on the phone that they weren't going to be able to see me today and then they rudely asked me to just go sit down in a chair and I was like "you already gave me all my stuff back and scheduled me an appointment, and if you're not going to see me today I need to go find somewhere else that can" They laughed at me and I proceeded to tell them I'm never coming back here. Worst doctor place I've ever been to, all of the staff treated me like a child and were obviously trying to antagonize me to freak out because they were having a bad day and wanted to laugh at someone's misfortune.

My wife had a terrible billing experience here and customer service did not offer much help or explanation. They appear to only care about billing as much to the insurance (why else would 2 office visits be billed for a single visit without an explanation?). Won't be returning.

Wow! My wife went in for a follow up appointment and we happened to switch insurance at the beginning of the month. My wife presented the card and the lady at the desk stated she had never seen that card before, and that they could not see her because she has insurance that they have never seen. My wife then said she would pay out of pocket since she found a babysitter for our 3 children. At that time the lady said they take Medicare and other lower end insurance, they just have never seen that insurance so she can’t be seen. She left upset and the lady that spoke with her did not care. Then we called our insurance company to get them to preauthorize a follow up visit, keep in mind this isn’t surgery, it’s a freaking follow up visit, and they hung up on our insurance company. The level of service at Medstar in Bel Air, MD has got to be the worst service we have received in a medical facility.

Dr Tiffini Middleton in the womens health building was absolutely amazing my entire pregnancy. I saw a few other doctors and all were great but I saw doctor Middleton mainly. Her and Dr. Tran delivered my baby and the care i received was phenomenal from start to finish. I brought my son to all of my appointments and all of the receptionist were so sweet to him, always giving him treats and stickers and talking with him. The nurses and doctors all interacted with him everytime with a huge smile, he just loved it there. I would give 10 stars if I could . Thank you all for the best care I could have possibly received as well as the kindness displayed to my little guy each visit.
