We went there to attend High School Graduation Ceremony, liked the ceremony and place. This arena is associated with Rutgers University, it is beautiful place and parking is great as well. Staff was nice as expected but two things I didn't like: 1) They said COVID vaccination proof was required but at the gate they were just checking if you had cards in your hand. Didn't even look at the cards and if everyone had a card. 2) When the ceremony was over and we were leaving, we were taking a selfie close to the door. One of the staff members wanted us to leave right away but I told him to hold on as we will leave after the selfie and have no plans to stay overnight.

Never a good idea to bring an umbrella to an athletic facility. Best off leaving it in your car, it will just get in the way inside. And, in any case, there is no 2nd Amendment right to bear an umbrella.
If they allow you to pull into the green lot, dropping off is about 30 yards from the entrance. There are multiple points along Hospital Road that are fairly short walks to front doors.
