As I write this review as a Catholic, bear in mind there are some theological issues that are involved but that won’t be discussed here. I’ve previously attended this chapel as well as Immaculate Conception Church in South Omaha. One thing to note off the bat is that Mary Immaculate is not connected to the Archdiocese and disavows any connection to the current Roman Catholic hierarchy while Immaculate Conception is part of the Archdiocese of Omaha. Enough introductions. Mary Immaculate has a beautiful Liturgy, which is the version of the Roman Rite in force in 1958. It’s a bit different from the 1962 Missal found at in other places, but aside from certain extra prayers early in the Mass and towards the end they’re only really noticeable to those that have a lot of knowledge of the Liturgy. The preaching was usually pretty decent from what I remember. I can’t speak to the general disposition towards visitors these days. It’s been years since I set foot in that building. Just keep in mind that people are flawed by nature and we all have our shortcomings. I won’t tell anyone not to go here, but only repeat that it is not nor does it claim to be connected to the Roman Catholic hierarchy that is widely recognized as such. To their credit they won’t hide it and are upfront about where they stand.

The one, true Church instituted by Our Lord Jesus Christ remains and this church is proof of it. The same creed, code and cult which characterizes the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church is found in it. The Holy Mass, the most beautiful thing this side of heaven as Fr Faber said, breathes the fresh air of grace and mercy to those who seek it. Deo gratias!
