What an amazing experience! It’s like stepping back into history. The room was spacious, comfortable and exquisitely decorated. Mayo is a quiet town with lovely cafés and small restaurants and warm and inviting people. The staff at the B&B were gracious, welcoming and I felt like I was coming home

Had an absolutly wonderful visit to the Chateau. From my initial call with the owner, Donna, to the tour and welcome from Ms.Biddie. The interior was beautiful and completely spotless. Ms. Biddie takes wonderful care of the property, and makes sure you feel right at home. It was quiet and comfortable. There are wonderful places to sit and relax both inside and out. We took a short walk to the local grocery for some snacks, walked to one of the restaurants and had a great dinner, then came back and sat in the rockers while a light rain fell. No, Mayo is not the place to go if you are looking for fun and excitment or a nightlife. It is a very small, very quiet town. Not much has changed in the 40 years since I lived there. But...if you are looking for a quiet place to rest and recharge from the busy world, if you want a town you can walk through and enjoy the quiet, if your looking for a front porch town, Mayo is it. If your going to the springs and want a quiet place to return to and take in the evening air, the Chateau is the place for you. We will definitely be going again.
