I love the Danville YMCA mostly I use the pool which is clean all the staff are friendly also I use the treadmill and the restrooms are always clean it is a excellent place to take your family I just love it

Went online to view the prices. They are expensive and with the gas prices and rent going up, you would think the prices would be lowered for city & county residents or at least free swim days like they did when they were located on main st.. Humbled beginnings 😒

You will not get your money’s worth out if this program. Unfortunately, Danville has limited swimming options.There is no swim curriculum-it appears as if the instructors have no training. Your kids get max 10 minutes of swim time because they only work with them 1:1–and they just sit and wait the rest of the time. It’s chaotic as the kids are all so bored and unsupervised. They have multiple (4-5) other lifeguards/instructors on duty at that time and the pool is closed, but usually just one teaches and the others just sit around and chat—they do not talk to the kids or help. We paid for private lessons but it took them 8 weeks to set them up and the girl cancelled and changed the time a lot. The childcare doesn’t involve any physical activity—it’s just focused on homework. The facility is dirty—they never clean behind or above any of the equipment-it’s covered in dust and spider webs. They would not do our orientation or free physical training that is offered with membership.

Not at the Y, but there are several at Dan Daniel Park and Angler Park has a huge field.
Not for adults but I do know they do pick up kids like from school if parents are working they have the daycare at the Y where I think they will keep them until 6 or 7 PM but as far as you needing a ride just to get there I don't think they do that.
5am to 9pm daily not sure about the upcoming holiday hours
Ok so you need a food stamp card if you don't have that talk to the people when you go in at the counter they will help you it's a good place and good people

You would fill out the application and bring it back to us with documents verifying your information provided is correct.
