Diorio is a wonderful, old school steakhouse. The ambiance, food, and service is excellent. I have only been there a few times due to the distance from my home, but I want to go back soon when I am in the area. It is my understanding that they are temporarily closed for renovation. I hope they don't change too much because the old world charm was warm and inviting. My favorites are the shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque and the melt in your mouth filet mignon. Can't wait to return for yet another wonderful experience.

I haven't eaten here in a few years. Sadly, I won't return. For the price, the food was just ok. Our server was fine, but after our salad and appetizer and had to ask for bread and we got one roll each. That was it. But the clincher was the price for a piece of cheescake and chocolate cake !!!!! $12 a peice !!!!!! I mean, $24 for two pieces of cake ???? Out of their minds!! Had I known, no way would I have ordered them !!!! I could've made a whole cheesecake for $10 and fed a family of 12!!! Totally overrated !!!

Two nights in a row! Soon followed by a third. I must love it. Perfect shrimp scampi. Ribeye was a poor cut of meat beautifully prepared and the wait staff was perfect. -------------- Loved it. Had the ravioli. A perfect dinner. Great staff. Really like the peppers served with a warm crusty roll. Beautiful old-school decor of warm wood, brass, and mosaic tile floor.

Lovely atmosphere, very European with dim, warm colors. It's truly pleasant just sitting here, admiring the fancy styling. The service was nothing to talk about. It was just average, but quick enough! As for the food, it was good. Everyone loved their food, but I'm known to be unforgiving and overanalytical when it comes to cooking. I had pasta with clams and white wine sauce. The dish arrived hot right off the stove! But both my friends and I thought the sauce wasn't reduced enough, making it watery and slightly bland. The clams lacked a bit of flavor, but weren't overcooked which is nice. The food was still tasty - but not $28 tasty. It's not like it was a rush, but I guess mistakes happen even to the best chefs. The best part was the dessert. I ordered the créme brulée (whatever the spelling is), and it was delicious. The crunchy, smoky caramelized sugar was something else, and went really well with the creamy stuff underneath. I'd come here again in a few months, and I recommend you do too, you won't regret it.
