My Husband reports: After spending a first time one hour visit with Dr. Levy, I left with complete confidence that the one major and several minor health issues had been thoroughly discussed; that excellent advise had been given; including relevant educational sources which I could explore. A full report of my visit was sent to me the same day which reiterated his invitation that, "The patient will follow up with me as needed, either by phone, by email, or in person." For individuals with a high risk of a cardiovascular event (those with a high coronary artery calcium score, those with a high Framingham score, those with a prior cardiovascular event), I am an advocate of prescription statin treatment. However, for many individuals for whom another doctor has recommended a statin, I may instead recommend lifestyle measures and dietary supplements as an alternative.
Dr Levy has extensive experience evaluating and treating thyroid issues. Payment is required in full at the time of the office visit, by cash, check, or credit card - Dr Levy does not participate with any health insurance. Test results will be addressed at the first session if the patient has results available - Dr Levy does not order any testing in advance of the first visit.
