The home was beautiful and Mr. Tromp was a wonderful host! Kilburnie is clearly a labor of love. There are walking trail to explore the estate, and both the inn and the estate are meticulously well cared for. The service was superb, the atmosphere was delightful, and the breakfast was amazing! If you will be anywhere in the area, I highly recommend staying at Kilburnie.

This is one of the best B&Bs I’ve ever stayed at. Johannes is a wonderful host who clearly loves the old manor. He’s put so much time and effort into not just restoring the old house but also keeping it updated and in prime condition. He gave us a tour and shared the many treasures he’s found that are now part of the decor. The acreage surrounding the property is tranquil and the walking trails add to that. Also, breakfast was delicious. But the best part, for me, was the bathtub. So relaxing! We stopped there on our way home from Pigeon Forge and it truly was the highlight of our trip. You’ll love it!

We lodged our cousin at this establishment for 2 nights. She was thrilled with the accomodations. Her room was large, immaculate, and beautifully appointed. The host, who is a charming asset in his own right, was attentive and meticulous about providing all kinds of little comforts and conveniences. He was kind enough to allow us to join our cousin for breakfast on the last day of her stay, and the experience was the epitome of elegance. The grounds are beautiful, and the location is quiet and serene. We were delighted that we could provide such a pleasant stay for our guest.

We recently visited Kilburnie a year after getting engaged there during a peaceful walk along their beautiful trails. The inn is situated in a peaceful and serene property. The inn is impeccably clean. The breakfasts are spectacular, the best either of us have ever had. The host is professional, engaging and fun to chat with. It is such a calming and peaceful getaway. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! We can’t wait to visit again soon!
