Ok place for a walk, I wouldn't let my wife go by herself though. But decent scenery for being in the middle of fresno.

Absolutely not
Not likely there's security that patrols and also northwest p.d. you can camp down by the river in a tent just not the parking lot area... good luck
Spano Park doesn't have any official water features. The property below Spano has some ponds but is not part of the COF system and is not governed or overseen by the City of Fresno PARCS Department.
I believe they are some sort of ground squirrel I know they live in tunnels underneath the ground they are very cute. I would have to disagree with Susan Knight not because you should feed the squirrels because you most definitely should not feed them I agree feeding Wildlife should never be encouraged however I don't believe it is because they become pests and they become aggressive some more so you should not feed Wildlife mainly because they are wild and they need to be able to survive on their own without help from us humans. Now that being said they are very friendly I was once eating my lunch at one of the picnic tables and one of the squirrel jumped up on the table and was about two inches away from my hand and my sandwich trying to see if I would give him some so they are quite friendly however I would not recommend trying to pet one or pick one up. It is best to watch them from a distance as they are quite entertaining to watch.
