The wild part about Vermont is that regular roads tend to turn into dirt roads all of a sudden. Such was the case here. But that's just a side note. This beautiful, scenic village of condos (really, they're more like condos) sits on the side of a ski resort and overlooks much of the valleys and mountainsides surrounding it. The condos are very spacious, include so many amazing luxuries, and are more modern than you would believe. We stayed in what could be described as the penthouse of the Essex and it was an amazing time! All of the creature comforts of home, but, you know... Away from home. The place was furnished very well, included a fireplace, TVs everywhere, and a great-sized kitchen. Nary a complaint was heard from anyone in the family. The only downside was that the pool is located at the entrance about a quarter mile from the condo. But with a selection of either indoor or outdoor pools, you won't mind the trek. The walls were very solid and we heard nothing from anyone else staying there. The whole process seemed absolutely flawless. It is a little out of the way from various ports of call, but Vermont is meant for driving or hiking, so expect it. The surrounding towns are very quaint. Anyhow, excellent review from us. Only one small problem in that the workers for the resort would park immediately in front of the entryway, making it difficult to enter or exit. Sometimes their van would block the whole path, which was an inconvenience. But nothing too difficult to navigate around. Anyhow, visit here!

As far as vacation condos go the rooms here are excellent in space, however the mattresses were very firm (possibly new?) which made sleep not as comfortable as other hotels. The restaurant is very expensive but the food is good. Location is great for skiing, but if you plan to visit anywhere else around be prepared to drive.

We had a great stay! 10 day work trip. It was basically an apartment. Vermont has very little business dining, so the kitchen is a huge time and money saver. Very friendly staff and free washer/dryer down stairs. I’m not sure what these complainers were expecting? It’s not The Plaza in NY, but it is a great reasonably priced stay with helpful amenities. I would definitely repeat stay!

I was gifted a 2 night stay here by a friend…I am not impressed. As another reviewer stated the place is very dated and there are some aspects that are worrisome…For example, peeling paint, stains on towels, black mold? Of some sort coming from one of the ACs… There is ZERO cell service and wifi gets spotty when outside of a resort building. The amenities don’t really seem that appealing whatsoever. Which is disappointing because the resort is more or less secluded. My first night here I ate the Maple Kitchen—save your money and time and find a local place in town or bring your own food as another reviewer said. My first dish was undercooked salmon and a mouth full of onion shredded cauliflower that I had to send back. I love the area but I would choose someplace else to stay.

Laundry was on the floor below and it was free.
There are an indoor and outdoor pool at the athletic center. I would call the desk for the rest of the info or check the website for that location
Not all buildings have elevator. Most are steps. With three floors
You can view it on the Holidsy zinn Club Vacation website
All would be a moderately long walk.
If I understand your question. You are asking if the entertainments are available during winter (December). Yes, the only ones you might not be able to is hiking, tennis and the outdoor pool but there is indoor pool.
My mom and I were out there about 4 months ago, and we had a great time! I highly recommend Sugarbush Farm in nearby Woodstock. They have some farm animals and free maple and cheese tastings. They also have a little educational maple walk that was interesting. Woodstock itself is a cute town to check out. We also enjoyed taking a ride on the Green Mountain Railroad out of Chester. Ben & Jerry's is great, but it's over an hour from the resort. Also about an hour from the resort is Windy Ridge Orchard in Haverhill, NH. They have fun photo ops, pick your own apples, and animals you can look at or even feed. Enjoy!
