This place is a good place to stay that's free of charge free food clothes everything you need even housing... But there's alot of drama and some of the staff cant be trusted and the residents steal some staff show favoritism some are trying to actually help you some may judge you...

Is there any space available?

Is there a program called Silver Sneakers still at the YMCA on McCart Ave. that Medicare/Medicaid will pay for?

Center for Transforming Lives | Feb 3, 2022

Thanks for the question, Jacqueline. Center for Transforming Lives is not affiliated with the YMCA. Here is the phone number for their McCart location (817-346-8855). Center for Transforming Lives works side-by-side with women and their children throughout Tarrant County to disrupt the cycle of poverty. From Poverty to Prosperity. Together.

How does this place work? Do you fill out an application? I know a woman that lives with her son but the apartment manager found out and has told her she can't stay but she has no where to go.

The YWCA may be able to help her with that you also should call and make sure there is not a waiting list

Is this for women without children too?

Lord bless your heart and I will pray for you. The best thing is to come in and speak with someone in Housing to see what they offer or can help out with as far as services. I wish I knew more specifics. If you are not familiar with YWCA which is now renamed Center For Transforming Lives it's the historic looking building between the YMCA and the Library. The front desk will be open by 8:30 am for sure.
