One of our favorite parks! My kids love it here. We love the lake, splash pad and large covered playground. The train is nice and runs most Fridays & weekends. There's also fishing, tennis courts, softball pitch I've seen being used for cricket, and many ramadas circling around the lake. Love seeing all the ducks that come. It's a nice place for birthdays and bbqs. There is a concession stand also open when the train runs where one can buy tix for the train and carousel. You actually do feel a breeze here. Nice place for a picnic 🍇 🧀🧺 🍾🌊 There is a hummingbird sanctuary and also a smaller park just south of the main park, next to the fire station. Ample parking.

As for the railroad, no. They are privately owned and operated. As for the public park, I'm not sure but you would have to call the city of Chandler to find out. The railroad is currently closed for the summer and will reopen labor day weekend.
The desert breeze railroad holiday train rides are already in full round. Information will be updated on the website shortly but they have the tunnel decorated now and the amusement area
