Was not sure what to expect. But to my surprise Everything was amazing. The atmosphere and setting placed me back to my grandparents old Eastern Shore home I spent my childhood in every Summer. The Tavern was something else....To not be home and get home cooked food. Not to mention our server Tom...He needs a raise😉 His service and friendliness will jeep that place going. I did not get the Lady bartenders name but she stirs up a mean drink...Made me feel right at home Hands down before I try to stay at the Ocean I will take the 45 min ride there to sleep in peace and comfort as if i was home

Satisfying despite a few flaws. Charming 18th Century building (undergoing restoration). We had large room, Wi-Fi, great bathroom, etc. No receptionist when we arrived. Narrow stairs. No elevator and no one to take luggage. Would be nice if the rooms had mini-fridge and safe. Great food in tavern and dining room, but quirky service. Weird wine list. Odd the menu was the "Fall Menu" in June and certain items were unavailable due to being out of season. Strange.

While this is a bit of an awkward place to stay because it is old and I couldn't get any air into the room, it was fun. It is very charming and I enjoyed being somewhere with history. My favorite part was eating breakfast at the bar. Barbie was so welcoming and friendly. There was another customer from out of town who stays there often and he was very friendly as well. When it was time to check out Jennifer was also very friendly and chatted with me for a while. It was refreshing that as a solo traveler I was treated so warmly. I felt like I was at home which is very rare for a hotel. This has been one of my favorite places to visit! I will definitely be back again. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I had the chicken Marsela and it was perfection!… My husband had the crab quesadilla which he really enjoyed and we also had the sticky shrimp as an appetizer which were also delicious… Excellent meal and service… We will be back! ( I am not sure why it is saying $98 maybe it’s just what I’m seeing on my end but our meal and drinks for both were less than $60)
