The thrift stores no longer in Newport but in Covington so I wanted to update my review. Brighton Center still helps with food and commodities Monday through Thursday 12:30 to 4:00. They also help with resources and bill pay you will need to go in and talk to a resource advocate for those topics.

I don't work there but I'm pretty sure you can drop off donations on the side of the building. I love a block away and always see people dropping things off everyday
Usually you have to make an appointment. But sometimes they take walk in people, but I think you have to prove low income. Its been a while since I used the pantry.
