This art gallery does not care about the residents of the community in which it sits. I live in Pendleton, steps away from this gallery, and work in the Business District. I'm lucky enough to be able to walk to my job as well as to the grocery store. I pay for Zone A parking for my car which I have little use for, so I happened to have my car parked in the same spot for months. Apparently this gallery rents out street parking once a month for an event. This June, they decided they were tired of my legally-parked car using up one (1) spot that they had my car TOWED without any prior warning (ticket, note, etc.). Without getting too much into details, I will say this was a great inconvenience for me and the day I had following this gallery towing my car was horrible. I've been to this gallery a few times and have had nothing but good things to say before they towed my car. Their large, imposing building in the middle of my neighborhood reminds me only of pain now. They are my neighbors, and they knew the car they were towing belonged to a Pendleton resident. If this gallery wants to continue to organize events which are inconvenient for the people living and parking nearby, then they should learn to be a little more neighborly and forgiving and a little less bitter.
