Update: *Kathy called me back and apologized for being rude, I guess we all have bad days - our second conversation was very cordial and I was able to be seen much faster (within a week vs. in a month) than originally stated. The star update is for Kathy, I appreciate you. I was seen by Dr. Helbig and he informed me that my issue isn’t that big of a deal and he can easily do the surgery on my neck. He said I was in no danger of permanent damage from the pinched nerves in my neck. Now I’m super confused because the last 2 doctors (pain management doc and a sports medicine specialist/surgeon) told me that I should have had surgery a year ago and that my neck issue will continue to get worse and I’m in imminent danger for permanent nerve injury. Dr. Helbig also informed me that this invasive surgery (going through the front of my throat to remove 3 vertebrae and installing metal hardware) is only 50/50 effective according to his surgical experience. So go under the knife for a coin toss in terms of results. I can tell you that I left thinking that my situation is hopeless and that at 43 I’m pretty much done - going to have to live with pain the rest of my life. I’m a very active person and this was the wrong answer and doctor for me, I’ve requested a second opinion. My friend that accompanied me to the appointment insisted that the doctor was just covering his own behind because of lawsuits. I’d rather have a more confident doctor whose success rate is more than 50/50. Original impression: I’ve not seen a doctor yet, I’ll update after I’ve seen the doc. This review is for the receptionist Cathy. Super rude, terrible attitude, makes assumptions and doesn’t have any customer service skills. If I could give you zero stars I would. Cathy does not belong anywhere near patients with her terrible attitude.

the doctor is always late to every procedure by hours not minutes. dr herman also never interacts with the patients and leaves all the after procedure follow up for his nurse practitioners which thank goodness they’re awesome.

This place is HORRIBLE if you can go anywhere else, you should the only care about $$$$, patients are not thier priority, you will call be sent to voice mail or get a message saying the mobile phone you are calling is unavailable at this time...seriously a doctors office, they get records messed up. Can't express how they have put my husband through 6 months thousands of dollars and they won't even answer the phone. Go anywhere but here. Sad part is Dr.Bybee is a great Doctor unfortunately his staff and other doctors are clowns, at best.
