Great place to go hiking and maintained well. The new ţrails really are an improvement and give the option for a more difficult hike. I do wish you could see more of the water from the trail. Even on the cliff trail you can't see water really.

The walking trails are easy to navigate while providing some good exercise. There are lots of wild plants and animals to enjoy, and there are several scenic places for photos over the creek.

This was a great trip. Took my 4- year-old grandson for a hike today, and he had a blast. Enjoyed rambling around on the rocks and checking out the little "caves" in some of them. Met several friendly folks on the trail. Wish I'd known about this place when I was a grad student here in 78!

Well depends if ya wanna go on bike trail or if ya just wanna go down to river. If ya wanna be out in the open I'd say go all the way down the hill. If ya wanna go secluded then go on the road to the right when you pull in there is a little bridge you walk across or ride a bike across. It will be on left side of that road
I haven't, but there is a friend's of Hurricane Creek Facebook group and I know some of their members have paddled it.
There are no cabins or after dark use of the park. The park closes at dark.
No, there are no rentals on site at this park. However, kayaks and canoes can be rented from the University of Alabama Outdoor Recreation at the Student Recreation Center.
I'm sure you can use a tent during the day. Close at dusk.

Yes, but there are no paved trails - only mountain bike trails.
