Haven't been here since our kids were young and now took out grand kids on Friday. It must be twice as big! I like what they have done!

We waited until September to go here, we didn't want to be with the summer crowds. It's a great place! However, I do wish they would give the badger a better home. The whole Zoo is wonderful though.

Considering where it is, the Dakota Zoo isn't too bad. It does have a surprising number of unique species that we've not seen anywhere else. But if you're expecting the quality of a major, big-city zoo like San Diego or Dallas, you'll be disappointed. Most of the animal enclosures are just chain-link fences with dusty ground and a few tree trunks and other things here and there, not the natural-looking environments that have become the norm at more modern zoos. (It does look like some of the enclosures are in the process of being upgraded though.) And because of its far-north location, you won't find some warm-weather zoo standards like giraffes and zebras. Still, it was OK for a couple of hours.

Yes. They are. They clean it after each use. They also have a loading ramp for wheelchairs which is nice.
Get there by 8am because that's when it starts
I saw that also.... they are under vet care
It varies by age. Under 2 is free, ages 2-12 is $7, Adults are $10, and Seniors (60+) are $9. However, for a family that size, I would strongly recommend the family or family plus memberships. It's good for an entire year, good for 180+ other zoos, you get $50 in train tickets, and you get discounts in the gift shop. The family is $85 and the family plus is $120. The family plus allows up to 5 additional guests each time you visit the Dakota Zoo.

Yes, they accept debit cards.
The zoo, as of summer 2018, has several large animals. They have tigers, grizzly bears, bison, deer, elk, and camels. They are expanding their exhibits so referencing their website for a current list of animals might be the best way to go.
Sorry, pets are not allowed in the zoo. We do allow bonafide service dogs for persons with disabilities.

You can see everything in an hour and a half or two hours, but if you want to stay longer there are some of the additional activities that you can do.

We were so thankful for the use of the electric wheelchairs to use at the zoo. I have an injured leg and can't walk and my husband finds walking a great distance very difficult. We had a wonderful day at your wonderful zoo. Thanks again.
I don't know on that one just a regular Google user here. I hope so
