This would get negative stars if possible. I rented from this lady from feb to April. Signed a contract to lease the bottom apartment, in that contract it states no deposit money can be withheld without itemized statement of damages and no money can be withheld for lost rent or early termination. I had to terminate my healthcare contract early due to covid by the hospital they no longer needed contracting services. I gave her notice that we were leaving and asked for her to come view the apartment and bring the deposit of 1200 dollars down and she gave me an excuse of being quarantined due to covid, now mind you she had just gotten back from being out on the town. How interesting right? So I couldn’t make her do the right thing and told her my forwarding address and I would be expecting it in 30 days. The lease also addressed cleaning fees which we had to pay upfront. So 30 days comes and goes and we get 600 and a letter explaining that she was keeping the money to clean the apartment because I was a healthcare worker and was possibly exposed without my knowledge to the pandemic. That’s not a joke. What piece of garbage steals from a healthcare worker during a time of crisis and a pandemic? She never addressed the ongoing pest problems( rats, bugs, spiders, ticks) inside the building and simply told me that wasn’t her problem we lived in the woods so deal with it....I contacted a lawyer and they told me they wouldn’t take my case right now due to the influx of people having issues due to covid. Do not visit this place too many other tents and boxes along the roads to stay in that would yield better services and cleaner environments. Thanks Mona for the wonderful experience.
