Nice brewery to find in the area. The brews were good, service was top notch and staff was friendly and attentive. Layout is nice and open, easy to navigate and decorated nice. The outdoor seating is plentiful and ordering via a QR code is convenient. The servings of appetizers (nachos and tots) were huge.. typical American serving, if you will - could be a bit smaller, or have different sizes for options.

We had never been to Sweetwater before so we decided to try it out. Our negative experience began when we arrived 3 minutes before open. When I saw someone outside setting up chairs I thought that maybe it wouldn't be an issue. I asked "are we too early?" as we approached the main entrance to which the guy took his phone out, looked at the clock and said they wouldn't be open for 5 minutes. It seems silly to make us return to our car and sit in it for 5-minutes. I really didn't expect that response when I asked. It's not the end of the world but isn't very good customer service when he could have just as easily let us in so we could spend that same 5-minutes looking everything over to determine what we wanted given we had never been there. Strike one but not a huge deal had the experience been good once inside. Once inside, the disappointment continued with the food & drinks. It would have been nice to have more items on tap to be able to sample other than beer. I realize that most people are fine with beer but we're really not beer drinkers and prefer things like seltzers, sours, ciders, etc. It seems like a missed opportunity to not have more (all?) of your offerings on tap so people can try all that you have to offer as a new brewery. There's no way to try anything so you have to take a pretty big leap of faith at $6 for a can. One of the teas we ordered was alright and the other one was weird. In the end the conclusion was that it certainly wasn't worth $12 and we weren't going to take another gamble to try something else. Sadly we likely would have discovered what we liked and didn't like with the ability to try them first and would have spend much more money on items we liked. Strike two. We wanted to order some food and asked how many wings were included since the menu just says "wings" and the answer we got was "six" which ended up being five. Kind of a steep price for 5 wings, even by today's standards. They were alright but not amazing. We also got the poutine and this was beyond salty. Even for my wife who prefers salty items it was way too much. I couldn't even eat it. When we talked with a staff member about it they didn't offer any solution. Strike three. In the end, we paid $45 for two of us and left hungry and disappointed in the service, food and drinks. Our buddy was with us on a separate check and his experience was similar. Not a very good experience all the way around and I don't feel like our expectations beforehand were unrealistic either. When I reached out to SweetWater I was told "It sounds like maybe we are just not a good fit for you" which is some stellar customer service. I'll be looking forward to whatever brewery/restaurant is next up in this location. Maybe they'll be better. We'll take our business elsewhere as there are FAR too many options in Fort Collins to put up with this experience.
