Sandy Bay Day Use Area

Sadly, we found out there is No: Sandy Bay Day Use beach in Aynor, SC!!! It is a map error!!! We are & were very disappointed, but I hope someone fixes it!!! However, we called the phone number associated with this & found out there is a Sand Bay Day Use Beach in NC!!! 🤪

Great place to access the sound and the ocean. The parking lot is clean and roomy.

Loved seeing the Outer Banks for the first time. Loved how you could park in the lot and have two completely different beach experiences less than 100 yards from each other. Halfway between Hatteras and Frisco, you can find large swaths of ocean front beach to yourself, or go the other direction to lay out in the afternoon, play in calm waters and fish. I was only driving thru, but would definitely come back to spend time here...

Park in the bay lot, but use the crosswalk to go over to the beach side. Parking is free and plentiful. We went mid July in the morning/afternoon and had the beach pretty much to ourselves. Several joggers were out but not any beach bums. …
