Had a blast…. The guy was new and still getting the hang of things didn’t have music to entertain but he will be good once he gets the hang of things. Had a blast. Good food 🥘

We were not impressed with this place, especially compared to the other teppan restaurants around the Coachella Valley and elsewhere. If you order sushi, most places will bring soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger or at least, offer them. Not here - just bring the dish and leave. The Crunchy Roll itself was OK but not much flavor. Actually, I've gotten better sushi from Ralph's! The miso soup was next. It was very diluted and clear, and had almost no flavor. The raw mushroom did not help anything. The salad was plain mixed greens with a little dressing. Nothing special. Standard bag of greens you can get at the grocery store, which I have done many times. On to the main course... The fried rice, which was an extra $3, was not as good as Panda's version. For a premium price, I would have expected a premium dish. Very bland with a LOT of garlic. I was satisfied with the steamed rice, which is pretty hard to mess up. The vegetable dish was good but very basic - zucchini, red bell peppers, onions, and a very small amount of mushrooms. Nothing special. I ordered the NY strip while everyone else ordered the Ribeye. The strip was a good portion but had a big corner of just fat. The Ribeye Steaks were larger but much thinner. My friend asked for medium but I didn't hear what everyone else asked for. An aside: I was seated at the edge of the table, directly next to where the chef's cart was parked. The boom box, playing some current rap music was too loud for me to hear much conversation at the table, including the chef. Fortunately, my friend was sitting on my other side and answered the chef's questions if he saw that I was not following. Unfortunately, the chef's Covid mask, which is totally understandable in today's health recommendations, hides hints of what he's talking about. Back to the meal... I ordered the "Colossal Shrimp" while everyone else ordered the cheaper shrimp. The chef slapped 6 of large, tail-on shrimp on the grill and a bowl of the other shrimp. When I was served, I received only 4 shrimp and some of the other ones. I guess the birthday boy got a perk! Suck-up obviously does wonders here! My steak was the first one to be prepared. He grilled it to exactly medium rare as I ordered. The meat was juicy and tender. As for the rest, the chef combined all them together. Although my friend asked for medium, by the time his portion was served, it was well done. The result was a dry, tough bites of meat. Furthermore, the chef's portioning of the meat between the remaining 5 diners was, uneven. My friend got a smaller portion and a lot of the unedible pieces. (If you look at one of the pictures I posted, you'll see a pile of gristle pushed over to the side. The remaining meat was too tough and dry to eat. We finished our meal and wiped the sweat from our faces and headed home. (Granted, it was 112° outside and the grills put out a lot of heat. But it would have been nice if their air conditioning could provide a cooler environment.) BOTTOM LINE: If you are going to pay a premium price for a restaurant meal, it would be a good idea for the restaurant to provide a premium experience that would enhance the probability that the diner will want to return soon. Unfortunately, this place is not that place. For me, I'll probably never go back. Especially when I go to other teppan places close by that are so much better. I'm sorry, I don't post very many bad reviews, but my experience at this place didn't deserve a great review.

Made a reservation at 12, only recieved our drinks and appetizer for the whole hour. Waiter kept saying chef will be here soon. My poor baby was hungry, and they also made us miss an event we booked for 2pm. Finally received our rice at 1:30! Then they even got my order wrong. Chef didn't do a show. Sushi arrived at 1:40. I love shoguns, just not this location. Manager Armando was a joke blaming the chefs that they were late instead of taking responsibility as leader he wasn't on the employees. He gave us a (VIP) card that was just the coupons lol. I felt played being here. Payed for food and entertainment. Just got mixed up orders and bland food.
