He is the most attentive atty. that I have ever hired, fought for my case & we won. 😊 Jon is amazing!!! I hope never to have another injury by any means, but if I do. He will be my first call!

Can't say anything bad...used 2x with results that were in line with what John told me to expect, in fact I got an even higher $ amount. He works hard!! Always answers questions and spent as much time as necessary for me to truly understand the choices we had to make. I would definitely turn to him for advice if I needed to in the future.

Why try to navigate insurance companies and the numerous forms when filing a claim? I want someone who understands the paperwork, won’t miss key dates and who has my best interest in mind. John Willis has done this for us, with a small claim, as well as taking the reigns for us when a commercial gas truck backed right into my husband at the gas station and didn’t want to pay for the shoulder surgery that was required. Mr Willis is very thorough and a fierce negotiator, I trust his counsel and he will be my first call, should the need come in the future.

Questions & Answers

Will my attorney be readily accessible by phone?

Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020
Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020

Most definitely. Attorney John Willis understands how frustrating it is when you have questions and your attorney doesn’t respond to your phone calls or emails in a timely fashion. If your attorney is not available and his paralegal isn’t able to assist you, your attorney will return your call that same day or the following morning. If your attorney is unable to respond quickly because he is in court or on vacation, his assistant will call you and advise you.

How long after my injury can I file my lawsuit?

Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020
Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020

The statute of limitations for personal injury cases differs from state to state. In Florida you are able to file a personal injury lawsuit up to four years after your accident (Florida Statutes Annotated section 95.11(3)). This may sound like a long period of time, but it’s important that you act quickly after your accident to get your case started. The legal process takes time and you don’t want to put your compensation at risk by waiting too long.

Are you taking cases against Zantac?

Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020

Willis Law is currently handling cases against manufacturers of the popular heartburn medication, Zantac, and its various formulas. The drug’s active ingredient, ranitidine, has been linked to cancer and is now the subject of several class action lawsuits which have been consolidated under one jurisdiction in Florida. If you have taken this medication in the past and fit certain criteria, you may be eligible to be part of the litigation and receive compensation. Zantac attorney John Willis is currently working with clients who have been harmed by ranitidine and he will fight for your rights in court. Call us today at 561-599-7300.

Do I have to take the settlement the insurance company offers me?

Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020
Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020

No! In fact, we encourage you to discuss your claim with an experienced injury lawyer before accepting any settlement being offered by the insurance company. The last thing you want is to accept a settlement that short-changes you and will not allow for you to get the treatment or recovery options that you deserve. Always discuss any settlement offers with your accident lawyer first. To discuss your case, please give us a call at 561-599-7300.

How much is my personal injury claim worth?

Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020
Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020

Every personal injury claim is different. However, the value of the claim will depend heavily on the extent of your injuries and the damages sustained. For instance, a claim for whiplash injuries in an auto accident will be much smaller than a wrongful death action where someone lost their life due to someone else’s negligent behavior.

Do you represent non-English speaking clients?

Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020
Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020

Yes, our staff speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently and will be able to answer your questions in either language.

If I hire your firm, does that mean my case is going to trial?

Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020
Willis Law, P.A. | Sep 30, 2020

Not necessarily. The vast majority of personal injury claims are actually settled outside of court. However, if there is a large discrepancy between what the insurance company is offering and what attorney John Willis believes your case is worth, he will take your case to trial if necessary. Attorney John A. Willis is a successful trial lawyer who has tried numerous bench and jury trials throughout South Florida and is well qualified to litigate when it would benefit a case.
