We loved this place while we were in Tennessee got some amazing crystals… purchased a necklace and earring package for $100 and told that we would get an email confirmation of when they would be shipped it’s been 3 weeks neither me or my boyfriend received any kind of confirmation that the order was even placed!! we are back home in PA tried calling this place probably 20 times and each time the answering machine says person at ext (some numbers ) is not available and the message box is full… I’m highly upset this was one of the main things I was excited to get from our trip!!!

Your better off doing a $30 bucket at the little Gem mine about 10 mins down the road. You will get so much more in your buckets
You would have to go there when their business hours open I was just up there about 2 weeks ago 3 weeks ago and my kids had a blast I put a bunch of pictures on there if you look at my profile you will see
Yes you do, they even provide the service to convert it to jewerly
Variable. Depends on stone, carat weight, and silver vs gold setting. Large range- maybe $75- $300
Do not know that answer
Yes I saw dogs there. 🐕
Yup. You pay for what size bag, bucket or barrel ypu want. The price is less than if you were to buy each item individually. Kids and adults seem to love it.
There are glass walls/doors that go around the mining area. We were there this past week and it was probably in the 40's and it wasn't too cold to do the mining at all. I don't remember seeing any heaters though.
Cades Cove is a favorite to get to see wildlife, old log cabins, and churches.
They are placed there by workers and you are guarantee to find authentic gems though
Is this place worth going ? Kids are into gem stone rocks etc...are those found there locally or throughout the country ? How much are we gonna spend?? 🤦🏼♂️
100 dollars is what I bought.
Not sure never lost an entire ring only a stone and they replaced the stone from an extra raw gem I had
Prices went from 25 to 200. 65.00 bucket had about 2 quarts of stones 200 bucket had about 6 quarts
Around 10 to 11 pm weekends Weekdays about 9ish.
There is no admission fee but you do have to pay per bucket per size of bucket it's well worth it
I am not sure. However if you have them cut your gemstones before they do be sure to get a certificate on authenticity about the quality and size. If they won't don't get them done.
It's only 0.2 of a.mile from your hotel to the gem mine. It's almost right across the parkway from it. It's located right next to The Three Bears General Store
Nope, gems and fossils... Shark teeth too if I remember correctly.
Fossil buckets, gemstone buckets. Not local- outsourced stones. Cost- $25 for small bucket- $500 for a barrel. All stones are 'in the rough'. Will find rubies, emeralds, saphires, tourmalines, white topaz (can trade to cut radiated blue topaz for a fee) smoky quartz, garnets, aquamarines, rose quartz. Will find non gemstone- jasper, pyrite (fools gold) and others. The higher priced buckets include a certificate for having one of your stones cut. Cost to cut stones depends on type stone. They have silver and gold settings for sale to set your cut stone. Have fun with your treasure hunting.
You purchase a bucket that they brought in. The best value is the $35.00 bucket. It had a tremendous amount of stones. I think I counted 34 sapphires alone, along with rubies, garnets, emeralds, amethysts, aquamarine and topaz. I'm anxious to go back.
I know someone that work there you would be better off going to Home Depot and buying a bag of dirt that's all they do and they were very rude when I went to visit
Yes. Year round.
