Food vendors were very expensive. We spent a small fortune on drinks alone since you were not allowed to bring any food/drinks with you. Event was ok

Bought the VIP tickets which came with VIP parking. There are two separate VIP tickets. I bought the most expensive one, Blue Sky Club, which surprisingly isn’t the one you should get. The cheaper VIP, THE CHANDON VIP Sunrise Brunch, tickets give you free all you can eat breakfast. The one I got didn’t. They only launch the balloons at two times, morning and when it is almost sunset. We chose the morning one. Got there early and parked at the VIP section. Wanted to buy some breakfast and there wasn’t any at our VIP section. They give you a lanyard with your VIP pass so you can hang it around your neck. We went around asking the security guard where we could get breakfast because we saw them bringing food to another tent area. He said that we should have it free with our VIP pass. So we walked in and grabbed breakfast. No one stopped us. And we were not supposed to get breakfast. We brought it back to our VIP section and at it quickly and got rid of the evidence. LOL. Waited another few minutes and then they started inflating balloons. You don’t need to bring your own lawn chairs. They provided but they were wet in the morning. You should bring towels to wipe it down so you can sit on dry chairs. You can pay to ride which we didn’t. After watching the balloons we walked the air strip which was lined with vendors. Kind of like a flee market but not cheap. It is definitely something you need to do once.

It was good, a lot of entertainment for free, prices were a little expensive on basic food and drink.

Loved the experience! It was truly magical. The Kids enjoyed David the Human Cannonball, rhe carnival rides, and Watching the balloons. The only reason I took off a star was it was way way too pricey. the vendors were super expensive as well as the food vendors. The best part of any festival is the food but it was just unbelievablely pricey. Otherwise the event was great.

Sort of... Maybe a 2 to 300 yards more or less from the parking. There are lots of attendees and cars with good weather. You do have other options. The balloon festival sets up remote parking (RVCC or corporate lots) and provides a shuttle to the entrance, if that's easier. You can also watch the weather forecast for 200 to 1000' AGL for wind (NOAA provides this type of forecast, ground level winds won't help😉). Then you can predict where to park and watch the balloons drift by. There are lots of places folks congregate around the area to balloon peep, North Branch park, Bridgewater parking lots... Some even pull of Rt 22 and 202 as they fly by. Police don't support this option, beware🤣😂
