Yes. It has some seclusion. I would be careful with going too far with extracurricular activities. Just saying. If that pertains to your situation. Its a good spot though for a good amount of privacy
No, it's a good park to walk, run, hike or enjoy nature through the 1 mile shaded woods or a couple of minutes next to the lake, but it is not for swimming.
What is the park like in the beginning of January? Is it suitable for a beginner to intermediate hiker?

There are many steep inclines and it can be dangerous if wet or icy. There is also many fallen leaves which can be slippery. You could probably get away with a little bit of hiking on flat ground when you first get there but you won't be able to go very far in if not comfortable with inclines
Can you go fishing there and is it stocked for any game fish.

What's the story with all the corn? I was there today and saw so much of it just rotting away. Whatever entity owns those fields ought to harvest and distribute the corn to those less fortunate.
