We did a local move in Hanover, and this moving company was terrible in all regards. The movers basically consisted of a manager directing a bunch of college kids, who obviously had very little experience moving things. Several furniture pieces were scratched and damaged. They gave us a quote over the phone before the move, but then would up charging us $500 more than the quote. Probably the worst moving company we ever used.

I could not have been happier with my move. The movers took good care of my things and checked to be sure things were where I wanted them placed. They reassembled things they disassembled for the move and made sure I was satisfied before they left. They were pleasant, kind and efficient.

As soon as you decide to move, you should start clearing out unwanted or unneeded items.
If you want us to pack don't worry about a thing! If you choose to pack the goods yourself, then you should have everything packed before we show up, otherwise, you might end up paying us to wait. Our movers come to your home ready to load the truck, arranging the available pieces much like a puzzle, in order to maximize the capacity and safety of your goods during the move.
It is best to start packing the items you don't frequently use, and gradually work towards the more regularly used ones. We even recommend keeping a small box of essentials to travel with you so they are available immediately upon arrival in your new home.
If you choose to pack yourself, all bedding should be removed from the beds and packed away before we arrive. We will disassemble the beds ourselves before loading them onto the truck. Other large pieces of furniture can be left as is, and we will pad them for protection before we load them.
Fragile items should be packed either by themselves in their own boxes, or with plenty of white packing paper between them and the other items in the box. Also, you should always start with heavier items on the bottom, working your way up to the lighter items. For a simple test, you can shake the box before sealing it, and if anything moves you know you need more packing.
We recommend standard size moving boxes and have these available for purchase if requested. The standard sizes, measured in cubic feet, are 1.5 which is good for books, 3.1 which is good for electronics, and 4.5 which is good for linens. For mirrors, pictures, or dishes we recommend cartons which are a heavier grade of cardboard. Clothing can be packed in a wardrobe carton which allows you to hang your clothes up.
You cannot use too much packing paper!
