Closed for hunting. I guess the 1.5 million acres of state game lands aren't enough.

Phenomenal experience today with our guide, Matt. The area is beautiful and primordial. Matt did an amazing job of explaining tall to small, from moss to forest trees over 200 years old to insects to salamanders, all while keeping us safe from the poisonous varieties of plants. The area is beautifully kept and is intensely unique. A joy to experience.

I am a new resident in the area, and I have passed by the bog preserve several times, but never could figure out where you enter the place. I saw a trailhead in one corner of the parking lot. No visitor center? I could volunteer par-time.
