Husband went in with symptoms of Lyme after receiving 5 tick bites in the 8 weeks leading up to his illness. His concerns were brushed off by the attending physician, Bonnie Troubh. We had to insist he be tested for Lyme before leaving the office. We were not given any antibiotics at the time. Did not receive any information regarding his test until 16 days later. The test was positive. Antibiotics were still not prescribed. My husband was told to follow up with his PCP (he does not have one). We had to stop in and request them, despite the 16 days that had already passed without treatment. Given the prevalence of ticks and tick-borne illnesses in our area, the lasting effects of Lyme disease, and that the Maine CDC recently confirmed the first death from Powassan Virus in the state, it is of utmost importance that care providers take the threat of tick-borne illnesses seriously. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Concentra. Luckily my husband is relatively young and healthy. The next Lyme patient may not be as lucky.

I was missing some documents for physically. I was going to have to come back with them to get medical card. Doctor and staff worked with me stating if I could get documents by close of day they could sign off on med card. I was given a fax number with out hesitant. I did leave with my card!!!
