I can't say enough about Senior Helpers. They were invaluable when my family needed help for my dad. The communication with family was prompt, excellent and informative. Senior Helpers was incredibly flexible in terms of level of care and scheduling. The staff and caregivers were kind and knowledgeable. During these challenging times it had been so special to find people willing to go the extra mile to help someone in need. I can't say enough about Senior Helpers and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for elder care. Thanks!!

For the past 16 months our 90 year old father has received EXCELLENT CARE from the Senior Helpers caregivers. His caregivers have been TOP NOTCH! Caring, skilled, considerate, flexible and trustworthy. As his care needs increased his primary caregiver increased her hours to accommodate his needs. When we requested weekend caregivers the office staff identified an appropriate person to cover these hours and oriented them to my father's needs so that they were ready to go on day 1. The Senior Helpers team, including the supervising RN, administrator, schedulers and billers have been wonderful to work with. A supervising RN visits my father every few months and reports to us her recommendations. Her ideas have been very helpful and have resulted in increasing our father's safety. The office staff keeps us informed of any needed schedule changes and is very responsive to our requests. The billing has been accurate and timely. All of my father's immediate family lives 1500+ miles away from him. We could not honor his desire to remain in his Florida condominium without the support we have received from Senior Helpers. This is a wonderful agency which has earned our trust!

I am so grateful to senior helpers for the amazing care me and my family received during one of the most difficult times. My mother has dementia and has been declining rapidly. She lives with my elderly father and during the night my father injured his shoulder helping my mom off the floor. Senior helpers was able to provide us with same day nursing care for them. The aides were amazing with both my parents. Caring for both of them and giving us peace of mind.

We have been blessed to be associated with Senior Helpers for many years. The care that is given to our parents is unparamounted. Every single aide, office staff, case manager (Renford Jones), billing staff, have been unparalleled in their caring and professionalism. When your parents get to the point where they need constant help, it is such a comfort to the family when every aide is kind, warm, cheerful and responsible. The ever constant changes are never a problem with Senior Helpers. You can call any time, and they will work with you to accommodate your needs. There are not enough words to express our appreciation, our gratefulness that our parents are in such good hands, and that we have complete and open access to anyone at Senior Helpers to get us through these challenging times. Once would think that COVID may have created an issue for them, but their level of responsibility did not affect any of the care that my parents receive. It is like having family take care of your precious parents. I want to mention Renford, Natacha, Audrey, Juliet, Jewel, Alma, Katherine, Theresa and anyone else I have had the privilege to work with over the years. There is no one we can imagine getting us through these difficult and emotional years than Senior Helpers.

How can VA benefits help us afford in-home care for my loved one?

Senior Helpers | Sep 28, 2022
Senior Helpers | Sep 28, 2022

There are 2 different types of benefits that may help you afford in-home care for your loved one. Aid & Attendance’s benefit amount varies depending on whether your loved one is a widow of a veteran, a single veteran, or a married veteran among other factors. Veterans who have served a minimum of 90 days of active duty with at least one day of active duty during a period of war such as World War II, the Korean War, or the Vietnam War, all may qualify for this benefit The second VA benefits available, Homemaker and home health aide services, is also for veterans who need assistance at home. As long as your VA doctor agrees with the fact that you would benefit from some care at home, Senior Helpers can likely provide its services paid for by the VA. Do you think you need VA benefits for your loved one? Senior Helpers West Palm Beach can make an arrangement for you to obtain these benefits.
