The prices are absolutely horrendous. I was charged the "Specialist" fee. When I asked for the cheapest frames they had, the billed me for over $300. They are NOT recommended.

Evan going to Midwest Eye Care for many years dr. Peter Whitted and dr. Scott reader and dr. Halstead and a few others have maintained my eyesight enough for that I have some mobility in life through my left eye is stable but not stable enough to do some of the things other people can but it is what it is fine this will occur it's just a matter of time but my Stevens-Johnson syndrome no one knows how to fix that these guys have been the best me for years thank you thank you and thank you

I highly recommend Dr Whitted at Midwest Eye Care, Omaha NE. Three yrs ago I had a cataract lens replaced by a well-known doctor in Omaha. I went all in & spent a lot of money for a Technis Symfony IOL ZXR00 multifocal lens. Nothing but problems with my eye since. Another visit to tweak with lasik. The staff OD told me I have "dry eye" and since I had lasik 16 yrs prior, my eyes were not virgin eyes. Therefore, my risk was about 65% success rate. They suggested using drops, a warming eye pad, an eye lubricant, special expensive Omega 3 pills from them, a lid wash spray, and "mindful blinking" which would help. Mindful blinking? Virgin eyes a higher risk? Why was this not thoroughly discussed with me PRIOR to the surgery? Hum? Today I had an exam with Dr Whitted. It was the most comprehensive exam I have ever had. The appointment was early in the morning. Their admin staff checked me in quickly. There were about 5 or 6 different staff employees I visited with, including the doctor. Each and everyone explained what they were doing. They were friendly and kind. They answered all my questions. The doctor did not rush through our visit. He very clearly explained the test results, my choices going forward, my options (if I chose to go forward), how to protect and care for my eyes, and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Whitted and his staff!!!! I give them 10 STARS! **********
