Great library for all ages! Large collection of books and DVD's to choose from. Great staff.

It’s absolutely ludicrous that you can own a home in the actual city limits of Marion, pay city taxes, but be denied a resident library card because your home doesn’t fall into their arbitrary “city limits”. I live 6 minutes from the library, but was told I am unable to get a library card even though my taxes help fund it.

Secretary kindof bland and sounded like she didnt wanna be there. Good library though, clean and safe

Yes, they do. It is down stairs in the basement. U have to talk to the Librarian there and they will instruct U on what to do and who else to talk to. I am not sure about the rent.

I only trust what I hear from The Marion Star and The Southern Illinoisian. They have never mentioned it within the past year. Take anything you hear on social media with a grain of salt.

Can I bring my laptop to the library to use Internet connection?

Lyren Haney | Oct 1, 2018
Jonathan Jennings | Oct 1, 2018

Yes but you will need to use their computers to print. I would also advise when using any public network to use something called a VPN to help protect yourself from hackers amd those who wish to snoop on your online activity.
