I’m a little confused about how this place is even still in operation. Pretty sad that we live in a society where people would actually support this. Nobody with a single ounce of knowledge about wild animals, or love or respect for them, for that matter, would go here. Shame on anyone who supports keeping wild animals in cages and exploiting them for a check.

Amazing animals. Some are so cute.

I’m not sure why there is any negative reviews. I went in September and it was so cool outside and all of the animals were in a great mood. It was just a great experience. My husband and I went for our honeymoon & it is definitely a bucket list dream to see all of the tigers and other animals (I won’t give away too much ;)) if you’re thinking of visiting, I 10/10 recommend. There is so many things that the great tour guides teach you and show you. You can tell they all care about those animals & it is more than just a job to them.

Stop coming here. They exploit animals, and people. The owner is a digusting person and you are funding his greedy intentions if you come here. I wouldn’t want that on my conscious.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Conservation effort....breeding in captivity to help keep the animals going! You apparently need to do some research. Retired from what? They are not performing in a circus. I'm sure they live out their lives right there. Why do I have a feeling you've never even been there to see this wonderful facility? Almost guarantee you haven't!
Pretty sure you're reffering to Wacatee Zoo... a different place.
We paid $299 per person (at the start of fall) and $250 for a 4 person group photo package (price varies on group size) and it was 100% worth it. I would gladly spend that money to go again. It is truly an unforgettable experience. You do so much more than just hold a tiger for a few min. It's a 4hr experience where you get to interact with and learn about so many amazing creatures. Of course if you want the cheaper experience you can get the photo at. Barefoot landing for $100. But that is just a quick, "heres a tiger, take a photo, ok bye" experience.
If they don’t care about Bubbles, how can they be expected to care about expectant human mothers?! They refuse to release Bubbles to an elephant sanctuary, where she can be with other elephants, for once!
The animals enjoy the love and attention they are receiving as much as the people. You do have to have reservations so they can control the interaction. Educating everyone is an awesome experience. Do you see any animal that looks annoyed? Come on get a life and quit looking for the negative in everything.
Hi! Myrtle Beach Safari It is not a non-profit, they use their proceeds to take care of the animals and their facility, however, revenues from tours through the preserve help fund best practices of wildlife conservation through their non-profit division, the Rare Species Fund.
$299 per person. $399 if you go during the summer. During my experience we only go to see one liger but you get to see so many other animals and pet and hold baby tigers. It's an amazing experience!
They have to feed the Animals somehow so charging that doesn’t seem out of line
Hi! Unfortunately, The preserve is not wheelchair or walker accessible due to stairs and natural terrain. The satellite location at Barefoot Landing has ramps and is wheelchair accessible.
Vali and sugriva are to big to hold at this age. They are over 100lbs. But they do come out during the day Wild Encounter Tour and play Volly ball with guests and they paint every group of guest a T-shirt on the night safari they come out and cook dinner and s’mores with you. Other baby apes come out for photos and contact. As well as elephant, eagle, wolves, cheetah , lynx , tiger /lion cubs and so much more
Bubbles is not the only. Elephant and seems very happy where she is as do the rest of the animals
Swimming with bubbles is $5000 for up to 4 people. I believe it is an all day thing and you get to have lunch with her too. However, they only offer this experience to people who have gone on one of their safari tours. There is no swim with tigers experience...
For the $400 safari you get a 4hr tour and you get to see lots of amazing animals. You will then get to hold and play with the baby tigers and pet several other animals. You will see the full grown tigers running at full speed and play games with monkeys. It is amazing!! I highly recommend getting the photo package as well (price varies by group size) with A TON of photos of the whole experience and a video of it as well. Swimming with bubbles is only available to groups that have been on one of the safaris and is $5000 for up to 4 people.
Petting and socializing with these animals actually really helps their social development. Going to see and learning about them opened my eyes to truly how much they care for and love their animals. You don’t just touch them here. We touched them while the caregiver held them. We got to learn a lot about them. It isn’t as unfair and disrespectful as you would think! This place is great.
Of course
They do apprenticeships. When I went I thought about it, it's a 24/7 thing, try and contact them though for more info
Hi! TIGERS Myrtle Beach Safari is open for tour reservations only. However, TIGERS Preservation Station (located at Barefoot Landing) is open 6pm to 7pm Monday- Sunday all summer. Thank you!
Margo... smh.. seriously? Why answer at all if your reply to a question is just to say that you don't know? lol..
They answer the phones after 9 I called several times before our day at safari!
You can do the safari for about $400 I believe and you have a lot of time to hold the chimpanzee if you do the preservation station I can't remember how much it is but the animals are on and off your lap so quickly that you can't even take a breath it seems.... I wish I could post photos for you because the chimpanzee experience was my most favorite experience of my lifetime
Hi Kenoka! The final tour price (with taxes) is added in at checkout. Sometimes this causes confusion about the pricing. Feel free to contact us directly at 843-286-5081 if you’d like to talk with someone. Thank you!
Yep what they said. There is also cub world at barefoot landing. I've been there and it was neat.
How much is it for two adults senior citizens
Hi Christina! While tickets are not refundable, they can be transfered to another date. Depending on the date, the pricing could be slightly different. Please use the contact info found in your confirmation email to reach out to us directly so we reschedule you. Thank you!
Yes u can .. depending on the day.....
No
Swimming is a private encounter, you can take pics on the tour.
It was about $2000 for my wife and I
The groups are small but, you can have a large group. I had 20 people with me. It's fast and organized too. It was a great experience.
You can go to their website
Any closed toe shoe should be fine as mentioned on their website. But few people were in slippers during my visit and nobody objected.
It's costly to care for the animals at the level they do. It's really a one of a kind experience to be hands on in such an intimate environment.
not pandas
My daughter was 10 and there were other younger kids. No one looked under 6, but they do not ask for kids proof of age. If they are almost 6, tall and mature, it should not be an issue. I was lucky and did get them on the phone when I had a question about the photos so they do answer.
Think they have them at barefoot landing for pics if I'm not mistaken the tiger cubs
He's a liger and yes
The Wild Encounters Tour starts at $339 per person. Preservation Station starts at $100. Please visit www.myrtlebeachsafari.com for more information and details. Thank you!
One of the workers there said she was one of three thousand applicants, and was lucky her experience at Disney with animals got her in
They have a schedule of when they are open... I think you could attend and not interact.... But they would charge the same
You cannot. Your best bet is to purchase a photo package. You risk being thrown out if you are caught taking personal photographs
Not as long as you come on a day that doesn't end with a "y" ...otherwise you should be just fine ;)
But do we get to be with animals ? Like hold them ?
Yes 😊
Hi! We are located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Hence the name, Myrtle Beach Safari.
Its expensive but worth it for us it was a whole day trip from Columbia, SC then we also ate at The Melting Pot. The Myrtle Beach boardwalk area was bad wouldn't reccomend. Id be shocked if you don't think its the best $440 per person you ever spent.
Hi Natasha! The free portion is coming to visit the baby tigers at Preservation Station located at Barefoot Landing. There is a fee to interact with them, but viewing them playing is free of charge. During the spring and fall we open at 5pm and in the months summer we open at 6pm. Coming at opening time is the best to guarantee that you’ll see them. Thank you!
I don't know. Contact them and ask.
Go online and make a reservation through Myrtle Beach Safari.com. Truly it is thrilling!
Actually you do feed a carrot to Bubbles the elephant and hug his trunk!
I'm sure you will get a response if you use the contact info on their website.
All land animals. One admission price.
Each tour option is about 3 hours
Our Night Safari is more of a dinner party type setting, with 20 amazing rare adult tigers! You will interact with them in huge habitat. Guests will get to feed the big cats and take photos with them. Other animals include Bubbles the elephant, wolves, tiger cubs and cheetahs. At the end, we all will cook s’mores and hotdogs with the chimpanzees! This is slower paced hang out time with the trainers and wildlife after dark .
Online go to their website If you do go bring BUG SPRAY
Hi Lauren! During both the day and night you will get hands-on experiences with the tiger cubs, baby gibbons and Bubbles the African Elephant! If you get a chance check us out on Instagram @myrtlebeachsafari to some of our guests having these amazing experiences!
Contact them directly.
Hi Cate! Thanks for reaching out! The wolf cubs will be on the tour all season, however, as you can image they grow very fast! If you’re interested in booking please call me at 843-286-5081 and I’ll be happy to answer any additional questions that you may have! Thank you! Tila
They'll have you park backed in and give you full instructions. Stay with your car.
We just went March 11th and it was 'off season'. The tickets were $100 less a person and the weather was beautiful. No mosquitoes, yet either. Enjoy your visit! It was a great experience and it helps with the anti poaching efforts.
You don't hold the chimps for a few reasons but you get to play beach ball with them, watch Vali swim and see them paint tshirts. You also hear the challenges of chimp survival. Their live feeding videos on Sunday are pretty fantastic.
No
I think i paid $150 thats for two ppl and ita like $200 for 3 ppl and so on.
$399 if you go during the summer. $299 during the "off season" Well worth the price and I highly recommend getting the photo package (price varies by group size).
